Cityhop offers its members a cheaper alternative to taking a taxi to and from the airport in Auckland and Christchurch

• For $13.50-$15 per hour plus an annual membership fees (see below) people are able to pick up a car in Auckland’s CBD and drop it at the airport and vice versa.

• In Christchurch Cityhop offers a pickup service 5 minutes out of the airport itself, where members are escorted from the airport to their vehicle and then back to the airport when they are finished Cityhopping.

• Cityhop is constantly on the lookout for new depots, the latest addition to the family is located at 90 Symonds Street in Auckland’s CBD. This 24 hr accessible site is suitable for those who work in the top of town and live on the city fringe, Newmarket, Parnell, Mt Eden etc.

Annual membership      

First driver - $75.00
Subsequent drivers on same account - $35.00

Insurance reduction

To reduce insurance excess from $1000 to $250

Costs are all on a per annum basis - $100 / person

Hourly rates

Casual user - $15.00
Regular user (10 hours or more / month) - $13.50
Overnight rate (mileage cap of 40km)    6:00pm to 8:00am - $30.00
Daily rates     per 24hrs - $75.00
Excess kms      Applies above 100km daily allowance - $00.25

Cityhop is New Zealand’s first car share company.  It is based on the same concept as a car hire company however it has cars parked all over the CBD and members can hire by the hour.
